Waterrock Knob is the highest peak in the Plott Balsams and is the 16th highest mountain inth Eastern United States. The mountain is easily accessible from the Blue Ridge Parkway and is a popular destination with tourists and amateur hikers. Come spend the day and have a picnic in the flat grassy area near the parking lot and enjoy the majestic views all around.
